Enable two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Aris888 account by requiring a time-based one-time password (TOTP) from your authenticator app.

Step 1: Go to Security Settings

Navigate to Account Settings > Security to find the TOTP Authentication section.

Step 2: Set Up TOTP

Click Setup TOTP to generate a QR code and secret key. You will also receive backup codes — save these in a secure place.

Step 3: Scan with Authenticator App

Use Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP-compatible app to scan the QR code. You can also manually enter the secret key.

Step 4: Verify the Setup

Enter the 6-digit code displayed in your authenticator app to verify and enable 2FA on your account.

Step 5: Save Backup Codes

Store the backup codes in a safe location. These are essential if you lose access to your authenticator device.
